Regional and Zone Qualifiers

Congratulations to Ashlee Rowles and Elisabeth Miller for qualifying for Regionals. Ashlee placed fourth in Walk Trot Canter and Elisabeth Miller placed first in Walk Trot. With her first place, Elisabeth is advancing to Zones in Pittsford, New York. Good luck, Lee!

Congratulations to five of our riders for qualifying for the Regional Championships after this semester's competitions! Regionals will be held at the Grier School in Birmingham, PA on March 18th. We hope the number of qualifiers will increase after our three regular season shows next Spring!

Zone 2 Finals Results

Congratulations to Senior Tianli Kilpatrick who competed in the Individual Intermediate Fences class at the Zone 2 Championship hosted at St. Lawrence University. She rode Oscar and placed 9th.
It was a great experience and a wonderful way to end her collegiate riding career!

This weekend the team participated in a show hosted by the alumni of IHSA Zone 2 Region 5 at Stonegate Farm in Coolville, Ohio. For the day, team took home the award of Reserve High Point Champion Team and Bailey Kudla-Williams won Reserve High Point Rider.

Bethany College Horse Show

This weekend the team participated in a show hosted by Bethany College in Wheeling, West Virginia. This show had limited entries, meaning each team was only allowed to register one rider per class. Therefore, the points accumulated by the riders who showed added together for the team's total points for the day. The result was the team winning the honor of High Point Champion Team for the day.
IHSA National Championships
May 1-2, 2014

The Allegheny College Equestrian Team was proud to send two of its riders to Nationals this month. Sarah Durrer and Bailey Kudla-Williams traveled to Harrisburg, PA to compete against the best collegiate riders in the country. Bailey competed in Walk/Trot/Canter aboard Karat, provided by Centenary College, and Sarah rode Chop Chop from Cazenovia College to compete for the Cachione Cup. Both Sarah and Bailey, along with our coach, had a fantastic time and gained a lot of experience. We'll see you next year!
